Richard Reynolds an eloquent young man living in London was crazy about gardening since his childhood. In London he did not have an own garden but he found plenty of neglected lots to practice his passion. He found many likeminded people. So he started to organize them and get more straight ford actions and results.
He has informed them about the different actions by email, has been fund-raising ever since for the plants, the substrate, the many things one needs to make the ambience a flourishing one.
He has grown up to a very popular figure and a well-known one in London. He has made Guerrilla Gardening kind of attractive to the establishment.
When he created the website he also could get in touch with similar communities worldwide. From time to time he visits these communities and reports on his website about his visits and their achievements.
His book On Guerrilla Gardening was just published by Bloomsbury in London.
Starting in London the film accompanies Richard Reynolds on his trip to several natural environmental communities throughout Europe, USA and Canada. The travel stops are: London, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, New York und Vancouver.
The film starts with Richard Reynolds driving his sports car. On the streets between the destinations he keeps commenting the travelling experiences while driving. Sometimes he stops to discover urban oddities, pedestrian refuge island and roundabouts. |
